How innovative tools enhance work enjoyment
The new world of work offers many conveniences and innovations, from 3D printing to project management software to AI. Six colleagues share which tools make their jobs easier.
Fei Sun:
“In our daily work, some applications have features for taking meeting minutes. Using speech recognition technology, this system can capture the entire content of a meeting and create a summary. It’s not flawless, but this technology shows promise in automating tasks. 3D printing has emerged as an effective solution for addressing quality concerns and improving the efficiency of production cycles. I’m excited about GF’s dedication to innovation.”
Cristin Erdman:
“Embracing innovative tech in my global, remote role fosters worldwide collaboration. Virtual tools, from live meetings to shared document access, bridge distances, enhance productivity and promote work-life balance, empowering flexible work and connectivity.”
Shirley Qian:
“Digital tools play a critical role in enhancing my work efficiency in all facets of the innovation process. The team collaboration tool enables the global team to engage with each other and share innovative ideas; the CRM tool helps me easily approach customers to better validate the opportunities; and the project management software ensures the team can track progress and join forces to develop new products.”
Gábor Szabó:
“Online systems supporting sales tasks and project monitoring are essential for efficient work. Ensuring these platforms interconnect is crucial. CRM solutions like NCIS, as well as showpads, Outlook and Copilot AI form a system that enhances our daily work, making it easier and more enjoyable.”
Javier Navarrio:
“As a welder and assembler at our Custom Products division, I execute nonconventional welds using advanced tooling and machinery. These tools are highly complex, requiring specialized testing before shipment. It makes my job fun because it is not a standard weld and can be challenging. I find it rewarding to take on new challenges and find creative solutions.”
Nadine Wuersten:
“Thanks to MS Teams, I started my training as a media designer during the pandemic, when home schooling was the only option. The advantages will also be indispensable in the future. Our teachers are easily accessible for our questions via chat. Spontaneous online learning groups are also possible.”
